The Brevard Art Museum Presents the Mathematical Art of Frank Milordi. The exhibition, which runs from 11 June 2010 through 25 July 2010, includes 16 mind challenging images.

FAVIO creates spectacular contemporary, abstract and mind challenging images. These images demonstrate the synergy between mathematics and art (Math Based Art). FAVIO has two types of images both of which are mathematically based. The first type (Fractals) is a wonder of symmetry and infinite repetition of complex patterns. The second type (Annihilated Fractals ™) transforms the first type into abstract images that have a hint of the base symmetric/infinite image. Fractals are related to Chaos Theory and real world phenomena (Chaos Theory, Fractals and Art). FAVIO exploits this relationship by creating the commercially successful images within this website.

All FAVIO images are produced with extreme resolution; a typical 40" x 28" image requires 500 million pixels (100 times more detail that a typical digital camera) to almost 2000 million pixels (i.e. 2 billion pixels) for the NASA 12 ft x 8 ft image. In addition to image resolution, the printing process elevates the visual impact with the utilization of a patented laser photographic printing process coupled with a “metallic” paper. This combination of image resolution, quality laser printing and “metallic” paper results in vibrant and mesmerizing images. These images entices one to continue to view, evaluate and understand the marvels of these colorful, complex and abstract forms; which are both visually and mentally challenging.
